4th C.K. PRAHALAD MEMORIAL LECTURE SERIES

4th C.K. PRAHALAD MEMORIAL LECTURE SERIES was organized on January 14, 2014 by ITM SOB, ITM University Gwalior. The speaker for the event was Prof. Arun Kumar Jain IIM, Lucknow. Prof. Arun Kumar Jain is currently Professor at Indian Institute of Management – Lucknow; and also holds honorary chairs as Adjunct Distinguished Professor of Corporate Governance and Strategy, SP Jain Center for Management, Singapore and Affiliated Professor of Strategy, International Business, and Corporate Governance at EM Strasbourg School of Business, Strasbourg (France's largest University). At both places he teaches MBA students and conducts MDPs for senior executives. During last 12 months Prof. Jain has been Visiting Professor at leading Universities in USA, UK, Greece, France, Germany, and Singapore. Professor Jain has been invited by leading Universities and Institutions across the world to lectures, keynotes and research— recent ones being Global Corporate Governance Forum at Washington, World Bank/IFC, Bundesbank (Germany), Global Forum for International Investment (Paris), OECD at Paris and Copenhagen, UNCTAD, MITI (Japan), European Union (Brussels and Strasbourg), Commonwealth Secretariat (UK), India- Germany Business Forum (Germany), etc. Dr Jain received the singular honour of being invited to speak at the Council of Europe (European Parliament) headquarters at Strasbourg. He spoke on a) Competitiveness of Germany in 21st Century; b) Science and Technology in India —Opportunities for European Firms. He spoke on role of innovation and technology in this competitive environment that is been experienced by maximum corporate organizations. He practically elaborated the different issues faced by organization to expand and diversify them. Prof.Jain quoted the example of Jaipur foot the organization who is adopting latest technology to satisfy the need of the different customers. The lecture was attended by academicians, researchers, and people from industry and students. The total number of participants was 250 in Ram Manohar Lohiya Seminar Hall VSB. Prof.Yogesh Upadhyay, Vice Chancellor ITM University presented the concluding remarks and vote of thanks.
