Introduction Of Seminar

Cybercrime refers to any crime that involves a computer and a network. The computer may have been used in the commission of a crime, or it may be the target Dr. Debarati Halder and Dr. K. Jaishankar defined CyberCrimes as: "Offences that are committed against individuals or groups of individuals with a criminal motive to intentionally harm the reputation of the victim or cause physical or mental harm to the victim directly or indirectly, using modern telecommunication networks such as Internet and mobile phones". Such crimes may threaten a nation’s security and financial health. Issues surrounding these types of crimes have become high-profile , particularly those surrounding crackeing. copyright infringement, child pornography, and child grooming. There are also problems of privacy when confidential information is lost or intercepted, lawfully or otherwise. The seminar aims to imparting knowledge of Cyber Crime and Security related issues.
Objectives of Seminar :
• The objective of seminar is to impart the Cyber Crime and Security capabilities to the project leaders, business analysts, faculty, research scholars and post graduate students who want to enhance their ability of data analysis capabilities to facilitate decision making.
• To enable the participants to define Cyber Security problems and develop a suitable methodology for addressing the key issues.
• The participants also learn about use of various Cyber Crime and Security techniques in research, designing the study, collecting data, issues involved in coding, editing, analyzing and interpreting the data collected.
