The Finance Technical session kicked off with felicitation of Keynote speaker, Dr. Gaurav Agarwal (from ABV IIITM, Gwalior) and he gave a lot of enlightenment on modern financial practices, upcoming areas of financial concentration like financial engineering, global finance, econometrics etc. He explained about the expanding finance horizon and need for research in those areas. He explained how a researcher can frame up a research problem in finance field and how he can carry his research. He also explained about the importance of financial analysis like ratio analysis, fund flow analysis, working capital analysis etc. for having a better understanding.

This was followed by a series of paper presentations from Faculty Members, Research Scholars and students from several parts of the Country. The topics included some contemporary areas like, Economic Value Added with Shareholders' Wealth Creation, Strategic intelligence in investment decisions, innovations in Banking Sector, Dividend decisions, Activity based costing, Analysis of causal relationships of Insurance awareness with sector performance, impact of leverage on Shareholders' return and MCAP, Index Futures, Sustainability of self employment with Micro finance, Measurement and comparison of Financial health of Indian Telecom firms, to name a few.

The Session was well articulated and was concluded well by Dr. Agarwal by stating the essentials to be done by a novice in the areas of Financial Research. This was followed by vote of thanks by one of our MBA students, Manika Tiwari.
