Technical session on Marketing

Technical session on Marketing was conducted on January 13 -14, 2014 during the International Conference "Innoserve – 2014, Innovations in Services: Strategies for Global Business Excellence". During the session eminent researchers from the field of Marketing Management presented their paper in front of the distinguished panel. Day one Session Chaired by "Prof. V.K. Singh, Gurukul Kangri University Haridwar, and Prof. Kavita Sharma, Delhi University was Keynote Speaker Day two Session Chaired by Prof.Iqbal Ahmad Hakim University of Kashmir,Shrinagar ,co-chaired by Ms.Kavita Sharma,Amity University Dubai. Keynote speakers for this session was Prof. Dheeraj Sharma, IMT Ghaziabad & Prof. Deepali Singh, ABV-IIITM Gwalior The panel gave their valuable comments on the papers presented. It was an overall enriching experience for the participants. The participants came from every nook and corner of the country. Some of the notable paper presentations on the theme of International Conference in Marketing related to Service Industries – Issues and Challenges.
Day 1- January 13,2014

  • Prof. Kavita Sharma, Key note speaker for the session discussed about sustainability of Businesses by reflecting upon new business models.
  • Mr. Amit Mishra discussed how MNC's need to think differently concerning rural marketing.
  • Shikha Sharma highlighted "Tourism Scenario in Shimla: SWOT Analysis". The researcher suggested stakeholder collaboration and govt. Support in the development of the high potential zone destination.
  • Mr. Arun Sharma presenting his research Work "Profiling Destination Image of a Transit City: A Tourism Marketing Perspective" trusted upon every citizen to understand the pros and cons of tourism industry.
  • Ms. Pratistha discussed traditional distribution channels leading to high costs for end customers. The researcher concluded how products as well as distributors play a crucial role for the survival of marketing companies.
  • Ruturaj Babar presented his research work on Market Orientation and performance in Higher education. The work suggested faculty research and marketing orientation on part of institutes have significant impact on students.
Day 2-January 14,2014
  • Prof. Dheeraj Sharma as a Key note speaker for the session discussed about STP in Marketing and proposed one to one marketing as feasibility and of course there are many changes needed as customisation. Facebook should have some customisation bound on Indian culture. There should be button for Ashirwad which will help address the challenges of Life. The key note speaker while addressing the students suggested that keeping in mind the dynamism in today's environment, one must not be limited to courses and degrees, try updating and bring positive changes.
  • Dr.Subhash M. Vadgule discussed that unless we innovate and come out with creative ideas, the prosperity of India is in threat.
  • Prof. Kavita Shukla on "The experience is everything-Retail overview" suggested how self scanning optipons can lead to better customer experiences. The researcher highlighted UAE among the fast countries to adopt self service technology.
  • Prof Kavita Sharma on customer evaluation of technology based self service options in India proposed different and new parameters toward the adoption of self service technologies.
  • Mr. Mohit highlighted how online shopping can be a better option for customers and enjoyment and excitement adds more to customer satisfaction.
  • Ms. Shivangee proposed a research model and suggested key constructs with an impact on customer satisfaction.
  • Ms. Richa Sharma on A review on Service Profit Chain reflected upon the significant researches conducted and the need to work in the direction of Service profit chain.
  • Prof. Iqbal Ahmad on supply chain goals in Handicrafts in Jammu and Kashmir suggested the changes needed in system to improve the Handicrafts in Jammu and Kashmir.
