HR Technical Sesssion

Technical session on HR was conducted on January 13 -14, 2014 during the International Conference "Innoserve – 2014, Innovations in Services: Strategies for Global Business Excellence". During the session eminent researchers from the field of Human Resource Management presented their paper in front of the distinguished panel. The panel comprised of "Prof. Manoj Patwardhan , IIITM Gwalior, Prof. Shiv Kumar Sharma, DEU, Agra and Prof. Monica Prakash, IITTM Gwalior. The key note speech was given by Prof. Manoj Patwardhan in which he talked about recent trends in Human Resource Management and focused on contemporary issues regarding sustaining employees in the organization. Prof Shiv Kumar Sharma chaired the session. The panel gave their valuable comments on the papers presented. It was an overall enriching experience for the participants. The participants came from every nook and corner of the country. Some of the notable paper presentations on the theme of International Conference in HR related to Service Industries – Issues and Challenges.

  • Ms. Arvinder Kaur Mehta on "Attitude towards Work as Predictor of Employee Absenteeism: An Analytical Study of Bswsss". Ms. Arvinder Kaur investigated the predictability of work related attitudes on employee absenteeism.
  • Ms. Shipra discussed "Working with Citizens or Employees: A Modern Approach to Cope with HR Challenges in IT Industry". The researcher concluded that how contemporary HR practices play a crucial role for the performance of IT companies.
  • Dr. Sunita Sharma presented her research work on "To study the job stress and their coping with special reference to career women". The researcher suggested that the organizations should arrange counselling sessions to overcome the stress level of employees so that it can lead to productivity.
  • Ms. Sukhmeet Kaur presented her research work on "Employee Engagement: A key to Manage Art". The researcher proposed a conceptual model to ascertain the antecedents and consequences of employee engagement in the Hospitality Industry.
  • Mr. Pawan Mehra on "Training and Development Trends and Innovations in Hotels". The researcher concluded that the training programs of hotels help them to turn employees to professionals who in turn lead to greater productivity and the growth of organizations.
  • Ms. Neelni Goswami presented her research work on "Comprehension and Literature Analysis of Work Life Balance among Working Women". The researcher proposed conceptual models that how work life balance can lead to increase in job satisfaction.
  • Ms. Pragati Jain proposed Effect of Core Competence on Competitive Advantage and Organizational Performance. The researcher investigated the relationship between core competence and competitive advantage.
